Admission Requirements for Undergraduate Programs

Academic Requirements

  • Secondary School Education: international students should have successfully completed their secondary school education equivalent to Canadian Grade 12, and typically provide original or certified copies of the academic transcripts, showing the courses completed, grades obtained, and any relevant qualifications achieved during their high school education for the last 3 years including final year's predicted grades or mock test results.
  • In case the official copies are not in English or French, translation is necessary.
  • Some programs may have specific admission prerequisite courses or portfolio requirements.

Language Requirements

  • International students whose first language is not English or French are typically required to demonstrate proficiency in English or French. This is usually done by submitting the results of a language proficiency test, such as the IELTS (International English Language Testing System) or TOEFL iBT (Test of English as a Foreign Language).
  • If the applicant does not meet the required language proficiency level, they have the opportunity to enrol in the Language Program.

Statement of Purpose

Some institutions require international students to submit a statement of purpose as part of their application. This is an opportunity for students to explain their educational background, career goals, and reasons for choosing the specific program and institution. Our assistance can ensure the creation of a compelling SOP that effectively communicates your purpose, increasing your chances of admission.

Academic Letters of Recommendation

Some programs require international students to submit letters of recommendation as part of their admission application. These are obtained from teachers or counsellors who can attest to student's academic abilities, character, and potential for success in higher education.

Study Permit

International students accepted into a program may need to obtain a study permit and temporary residence visa to study in Canada.
