Admission Requirements for Post-Graduate Degrees

Academic Requirements

  • For Master's programs, a Bachelor's degree is typically required, and for Ph.D. programs, a Master's degree is often required. In case the official copies are not in English, translation is necessary.
  • Some programs may have specific prerequisite courses or portfolio requirements.

Language Requirements

  • International students whose first language is not English or French are typically required to demonstrate proficiency in English or French. This is usually done by submitting the results of a language proficiency test, such as the IELTS (International English Language Testing System) or TOEFL iBT (Test of English as a Foreign Language).
  • If the applicant does not meet the required language proficiency level, they have the opportunity to enrol in the Language Program to improve their skills before starting their graduate  or Master's degree in Canada.

Statement of Purpose

The applicant will likely be asked to submit a written statement describing their academic and research background, career goals, and reasons for applying to the specific program. Our assistance can help you create a compelling SOP that effectively communicates your purpose, significantly increasing your chances of admission to a graduate degree program in Canada.

Letters of Recommendation

For academic graduate programs, letters of recommendation are often expected from professors or academic advisors who have taught or supervised the applicant during their undergraduate studies. For professional programs, such as MBA programs, letters from employers or supervisors may be more relevant.

Curriculum Vitae (CV) or Resume

You may need to provide a CV or resume that outlines your educational background, work experience, research experience, and other relevant achievements. We ensure that your resume stands out, enhancing your application for a graduate degree to study in Canada.

Standardized Tests

Some graduate programs, particularly in disciplines like engineering, business, or social sciences, may require additional standardized test scores, such as the GRE or GMAT, for those aiming to study in Canada.

Study Permit

International students accepted into a program may need to obtain a study permit and temporary residence visa to study in Canada.
